Key chain on the bicycle handle bars. One peppersafe.com customer is an avid biker and he finds that sometimes his travels lead him to parts of the country where he doesn't feel safe. He has used his pepper spray on small dogs who attacked him and also to give him peace of mind when biking through dangerous neighborhoods at night.
Pepper Spray keychain on daughter's backpack. A very wise mother contacted us to let us know that she had safely and properly trained her 10 year old daughter in how to use pepper spray. She consulted the local police and confirmed that it was legal for her daughter to carry the small keychain. It is attached to her backpack and the mother feels much better about her daughter's commute to school every day.
Key Chain Safe and Stylish
Pepper spray key chains are a safe and stylish way of transporting you protective weapon. There are several reasons why a pepper spray Key chain is the best method of carrying your pepper spray:
Key Chain Near Home and Car
A government study indicates that 75% of Sexual Assaults made by strangers occur near the entrance of the victim's home or automobile. It is very common for the victim to have her keys and key chain out of her pocket or out of her purse at the time of the attack.
A Key Chain Will Not Instigate
A large number of violent attacks against women are made by intimate partners of the victim. Having a pepper spray key chain will allow you to carry your protection everywhere you go and not offend or instigate a partner whom you may be wary of. If it's always in your posession, your partner will not be suprised to see it.
A Key Chain Is Available For Practice
Pepper spray key chains are a constant reminder of the presence of the self-defense weapon. A very common problem with people who use pepper spray is that they forget where they put it, or even forgot that they actually were carrying it with them. This will not occur for people who carry a pepper spray key chain
Practice. When a person has pepper spray readily available and on the body at all times, it allows you the opportunity to practice using the spray. It is best to practice in an open field and it's not likely that somebody will make a special trip to practice using the pepper spray. Key chain pepper spray allows the carrier to practice at their convenience. No matter where we go, we have our key chain. When we do have time to test and practice the use of pepper spray, the key chain has carried it along for our use.
Key Chain and Transitions
Please rest assured that purchasing a key chain pepper spray product will make you more safe and make you feel *MUCH* more safe. Key chain pepper spray is not the only form of safety and protection from attackers, but when you are carrying your key chain, you are carrying your protection. That's a big step in the right direction.
Attacks are most likely to occur during transitions where you are going from one place to another. Common examples are walking from your car to work or work to your hoouse, walking to the parking lot, taking out the garbage, or jogging in the neighborhood.
Obviously we cannot cut down on our transitions. They are a necessary part of an active life. Walking with an umbrella, walking stick, dog or small child decreases your risk of attack. As you probably would guess, groups of people are less likely to be attacked than a solo person. Remember to look around you and walk with alertness and upright body position. People who look lively and aware are less likely to be attacked.
Pepper Spray Key Chains in the News
On March 28, 2005, a woman from Kansas City, Missouri drove into the parking lot of a car wash on Independence Ave. to clean her vehicle. She got out of her car to find two men approaching. One of the men revealed a gun and told her to give up her keys. The woman reached for her keys as instructed, but pulled out the pepper spray on her key chain and sprayed the two men. The men backed off and she was able to escape without harm. While we do not suggest using pepper spray in cases where the aggressor is holding a lethal weapon such as a gun, we do recognize that some people have been able to escape the most difficult situations using their pepper spray key chains.
The woman was quoted by KCTV5 news: "Thank God. This is something that saved my life, and it could save any woman's life."
